Laws and Enforcement
How do you feel about our state government and the laws in which they place in our state. I know that each state has their laws and it is to protect the citizens of our state, but when laws are in forced and then some laws are not then somethng needs to be done about it. I believe that there are many people out there that have been given a ticket for something that they though was wrong or just an injustice but have just paid the fine and thought oh well or have though something should be done about the situation and have been to afriad to do something. Well not anymore. Why don't we challenge our councils and state government on the laws that they enforce.
We recently joined a busy gym. Yesterday my brother parked on the nature strip as the carpart was full. After being in the gym and returning to his car he was issued with a parking infringment. Today after being in the gym and returning to the car we noticed the council officer pulled up and started to write a ticket for another guy parked on the nature strip. There was nothing I could do about that car but another car pulled up and I ran to his car to tell him to move his car otherwise he would be receiving a parking infringment. The councel officer was less than happy that he moved his car.
The issue here is not the fine. The issue here is that parking on the nature strip is not obstructing the view of the road. The car is not parked on the foot path and is not parked over or near a fire hydrant. The cars on the side of the road are causing the obstruction to cars coming out of the gym and should not be parked so close to the enterance. But there is nothing done about the situation. There are no signs. There are no tickets on the cars who are obstructing traffic.
Something needs to be done about the situation before someone is seriously injured and unnecessary parking fines need to put to better use. Council workers need to use there time more wisely and stop just making revenue for the government.
It is just like parking meters. I understand that the money is there to improve but with all the parking meter money they have recceived we could have had GOLD parking meters by now.

Where we work and WHY?
If you don't already know my husband and I work with New Tribes Mission in Papua New Guinea. We work at full time Support missionaries johnathan in the area of Tribal Resource Printing and me possibly moving into Adinistration. Being involved in support work helps and assists the missionaries in the bush locations to get the necessary work they need to get done to reach their tribe with the Gospel.
Presently we are back in Australia as we look to the Lord to raise our support so that we can return to PNG and continue the work that the Lord has us there for.
If you would like to be apart of our ministry or would like to know more about what we are doing please contacts us and we would love to share with you what the Lord is doing in Papua New Guinea.

Family Trees
We have just been away for the weekend at my cousins 21st and my aunts 50th. The same night which was last night and the theme being pink. It was a big night and there was family actually there were people there that I had no idea of who they were. In the last couple of weeks I have really gotten into doing our family tree. I am doing it from both Johnath and I and I am first working on my mum's side and working back and then I will be doing Johanthan's side. It is so exciting to look back and see who is related to who. It is not easy sometimes finding information but I am slowly finding out things.
Have you ever wondered where your family came from or your heritage? You may find it very interesting and who knows somewhere down the line we could be realated!

AUSTRALIA DAY 2007
Australia Day! What does it mean to you. This time last year we were in Papua New Guinea celebrating Australia Day. It's so amazing how patriotic you become when you are not in your home country. You stand by your country when you are not in it. You defend it.
What does being an Australian mean to you?
On another note my sister in law Amanda Hunt has just created a new online shop featuring minature bead all handmade and handcrafted all being authentic designs. You can visit her shop at www.wahmania.com and have a look under the subheading POLYCLARIFIC to browse through all the wonderful minatures she has made.

Seven ways HOW TO be involved in a Missionaries Life
There are seven ways in which we can be involved in a missionaries life and this is something that I have been looking at in regards to us being supported in Papua New Guinea and looking at it and seeing how I can get churches and individuals to see the inportance of these 7 ways.
1. Prayer Support
2. Financial Support
3. Material Support
4. Emotional Support
5. Providing Accountability
6. Build relationships with the fields Leadership
7. Follow the missionaries ministries and really feeling ownership of those ministries.
After looking over these I thought I wonder how many individuals and churches out there are fulfilling these 7 responsibilitys to there Missionaries.
