Laws and Enforcement

How do you feel about our state government and the laws in which they place in our state. I know that each state has their laws and it is to protect the citizens of our state, but when laws are in forced and then some laws are not then somethng needs to be done about it. I believe that there are many people out there that have been given a ticket for something that they though was wrong or just an injustice but have just paid the fine and thought oh well or have though something should be done about the situation and have been to afriad to do something. Well not anymore. Why don't we challenge our councils and state government on the laws that they enforce.

We recently joined a busy gym. Yesterday my brother parked on the nature strip as the carpart was full. After being in the gym and returning to his car he was issued with a parking infringment. Today after being in the gym and returning to the car we noticed the council officer pulled up and started to write a ticket for another guy parked on the nature strip. There was nothing I could do about that car but another car pulled up and I ran to his car to tell him to move his car otherwise he would be receiving a parking infringment. The councel officer was less than happy that he moved his car.

The issue here is not the fine. The issue here is that parking on the nature strip is not obstructing the view of the road. The car is not parked on the foot path and is not parked over or near a fire hydrant. The cars on the side of the road are causing the obstruction to cars coming out of the gym and should not be parked so close to the enterance. But there is nothing done about the situation. There are no signs. There are no tickets on the cars who are obstructing traffic.

Something needs to be done about the situation before someone is seriously injured and unnecessary parking fines need to put to better use. Council workers need to use there time more wisely and stop just making revenue for the government.

It is just like parking meters. I understand that the money is there to improve but with all the parking meter money they have recceived we could have had GOLD parking meters by now.
